Forest Park Core · Kindergarten to 2nd grade
Just the core subjects.
Reading and writing, math, science and social studies in our Forest Park learning world. Made for children who already go to another school, and for schools that want it for their classrooms.
Who it's for
Extra help that fits around school.
Families
Your child stays at their current school. At home they walk through Forest Park, learn one idea at a time, and practise until it sticks. You see what they learned and what needs more help.
Schools
Give your K-2 classes a self-paced practice world that follows the core standards. Teachers get a class report with first-try scores, what was fixed, and which ideas need another look.
The four core houses
Four subjects. One path through the forest.
Lessons follow the Common Core for reading and math, NGSS for science, and the C3 framework for social studies.
Reading & Writing
Letters and sounds, phonics, reading and writing, one small step at a time.
Math
From counting to adding and subtracting, with blocks the child builds.
Science
Guess first, then run the test and see what really happens.
Social Studies
Maps, community, and the wider world, with stamps to collect.
Optional: add the Islamic houses
Turn them on with any family or school plan for a little more each month.
Qur'an
Short surahs: listen, recite, and put the verses in order.
Arabic
Letters, sounds and first words, read and heard.
Islamic Studies
Wudu, prayer, good manners, and the stories of the prophets.
How a lesson works
Learn it, play it, prove it.
A lesson counts only at five out of five. Miss an idea and the child gets it taught a new way, then tries again.
- WatchA guide teaches one idea in plain words.
- ExamplesThe same idea in pictures the child can touch.
- PlayA short game that belongs to that house.
- ReviewA quick look back at the big idea.
- QuizFive questions. The goal is five out of five.
- Fix-it NookA story, chant or activity for anything missed.

Core or full school?
Two ways to learn with us.
Forest Park Core
Self-paced teaching and practice in the four core subjects, used alongside a school or homeschool program. It is not a full grade on its own. From $14 a month.
See Core pricingThe Muslim Academy
Our full online K-12 school, with certified teachers and live Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies woven into every week.
Meet our schoolsQuestions people ask.
Does this replace my child's school?
No. Forest Park Core is extra teaching and practice in the core subjects, and it does not cover a full grade on its own. Your child still needs a teacher, a school, or a homeschool program alongside it. For full grade support with a certified teacher, enroll in The Muslim Academy.
Which grades does it cover?
Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade today. More grades will follow, and families already on a plan hear first.
Can I add Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies?
Yes. Core plans include the four core houses only. Switch on "Include Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies" in the pricing above to add the Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies houses to any family or school plan. Leave it off and those houses stay out.
How much time does it take?
A lesson has a clear start and end and takes about 20 minutes. Many families do one or two a day after school.
Can teachers see how students are doing?
Yes. The class report shows each student's first-try score, how many tries a lesson took, what was fixed, and which ideas to revisit.
Can I cancel?
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and stop at the end of the month you have paid for.
