Students who are enrolled within one of our academic schools will automatically be enrolled in QAI. Parents have the option to enroll into the QAI package separately.

What is The Muslim Academy?
The Muslim Academy is an online academy with three schools. Little Muslims Elementary offers grade levels from K-5, Young Companions Middle School offers grade levels 6-8 and Jabal High School offers grade levels 9-12. The Muslim Academy’s K-12 academic curriculum is completely online. The Muslim Academy will track your child's progress and provide you with customized reports of attendance, subject grades, and overall grading to ensure that you have all the tools you need to help your child succeed. Our self-paced academic classes keep students engaged and progressing at their own level backed with guidance and oversight by a certified teacher assigned to your child. Our live Qu’ran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies provided at each grade level throughout the K-12 academy help students achieve the next level with guided support.
The Muslim Academy is a K-12 Online academy with accreditation approved secular/academic curriculum with Qu'ran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. Our curriculum adheres to the Common Core State Standards and is approved for accreditation by SACS CASI.

Amna Baig
- Academic Advisor
Amna Baig is a Certified Teacher with extensive experience in the education field. Her 9 years experience as an in person teacher has proven valuable at the academy. As the academy’s Academic Advisor, Amna oversees the academic progress of students and maintains contact with parents to ensure academic success. Amna has been with The Muslim Academy since 2015.
Muhammad Thauseen
- Quran, Arabic, Islamc Studies Instructor
Muhammad memorized the Holy Quran at a young age, which sparked his deep passion for Islamic studies. His journey led him to pursue advanced studies in Quran, Arabic, and Sharia at the esteemed Al-Azhar University in Egypt. There, he specialized in tajweed and recitation, earning an ijazah for teaching the Quran.
For the past two years, he has been dedicated to teaching and inspiring students in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic studies at The Muslim Academy.
Rabail Naif
- Adminstrator and Projects Manager
Rabail is a leadership and management enthusiast. She holds an MBA and is pursuing her second master's in project management. With a strong background in leadership and management, she's passionate about children's education and committed to making The Muslim Academy a great place for students to learn and grow. Rabail has been with the academy for just under half a decade.
Nasser Dawod
- Quran, Arabic, Islamc Studies Curriculum Advisor and Instructor
Nasser Abdallah Dawod is an American Palestinian Muslim who holds various degrees in Islamic fields of knowledge, including a Bachelor's in Islamic education from Al-Quds Open University. He has over 15 years of experience teaching at high schools (Islamic studies and social studies). His experience includes dedication within Islamic academia as well. Nasser has been teaching at The Muslim Academy for over two years.

Riffat Sheikh
- Founder and Director
Sr. Riffat Sheikh has been in the field of education for over 20 years. She is the founder and has been the director of The Muslim Academy for over 10 years, an academy that reaches students worldwide and currently houses three divisions - The Muslim Academy Online Education, Elevation Hifdh Academy, and Al Shajarah Forest School.
Her passion for outreach is evident in that she has founded and established many educational projects for children and adults within the academy as well as outside. With her unwavering commitment and leadership, she has been the guiding force that shaped The Muslim Academy into what it is today. Through her vision, The Muslim Academy was founded arguably as one of the first online Islamic academy for K-12 students. Sr. Riffat, pioneering the online education world established The Muslim Academy in 2013, has brought her vision to fruition by creating it to be a safe haven for students all around the world. Students can enjoy a safe environment, have greater accessibility to education, and can depend on the quality of educational standards of the academy.
Sr. Riffat, born and raised in the US, is a genetically verified descendant of our beloved Prophet Ibrahim 'alayhis- salaam, and is from the family of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Getting started is easy. Once you've enrolled your student they will be asked to take a diagnostic/placement test which will allow us to discover the best coursework and class schedule for them. We don't believe in a “one size fits all” education program, and this way we can tailor a program to your student's individual needs.

Jabal High School's course of study is designed to prepare students for entrance into most universities and colleges. However, since each college and university has its own entrance requirements, we recommend that you consult the school of your choice to tailor an appropriate preparatory education program.
